We washed the front third of The Ranger. Went over it with a mild rubbing compound and are now nail polishing the chips. The hood and front quarter panels took two hours. We’ll work on the rest tomorrow. She had a lot of grime on her. She hadn’t had a proper bath in a while. Pretty sure we just improved our drag coefficient significantly.

No. Not even close. It’s gonna be a few days before she’s cleaned and scrubbed enough to wax.

Ay, another Ranger on Oppo. Love the color, the bed cover, and the wheels. Mine is covered in pollen, spider webs, etc., and we’re selling it soon. :(

This picture makes her look way nicer than she is. Several years ago, she sat for a long time. We’re just getting around to cleaning the algae off. The topper is beat, but doesn't leak. I think the layer of grime on it is measurable with a ruler. She covered in dents and paint scratches. But she doesn't die. We love her.

I’m surprised how reliable other Rangers are. Mine is a 2007 with close to 91,000 miles. It came (used, CPO) with missing tire pressure sensors. From there, it’s needed a new fuel pump, I believe it had a cracked cooling system, and has had the check engine light on several times. The transmission also acts weird sometimes. Plus, it’s been rear ended a few times and the seats are cracked. No issues besides the transmission since I started driving it, though.

This is why my parents only buy new now. Our Rogue, RAV4, and xB have had very few problems and they were purchased new.

It’ll be sad when we get to the back. On the rear topper window, there is a smudge in the dirt that is shaped like my face. It’s from me face-planting in to it one night. Ahh, the memories...
